Poetic Motion: Shot design in the "Slow Cinema" movement
In a time when audience attention runs at a premium, what can more moderately paced poetic cinema bring to the viewer? This workshop helped to elevate students understanding of cinema as an art form by discussing elements of poetic cinema within the films of Andrei Tarkovsky, Theo Angelopoulos, Andrey Zvyagintsev, Alexei german Jr, Edward Yang. This workshop was held at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Blind Drawing, Bold Imagination
I developed and prepared a lecture and demonstration, followed by an in-studio workshop at the Savannah College of Art and Design where students were encouraged to experiment and explore the principles of the blind contour technique, that helped students further connect with their pre-existing course assignments.
